Art Awards

Well I've been busy and have neglected my blog. Which I hate as I promised myself I would keep up to date with this. So my goal from now on is to at least post every month. I have finished another Drawing for my Orango Tango Fundraising project, which you can see on my Fundraising Page, and once again it was snapped up by a friend as soon as I mentioned it was for sale. I really need to get focused on getting more of these drawings out. I havn't even had a chance to offer them up to my followers yet as my friends keep buying them haha Oh well I still have 17 more to go :)

Other exciting news is my pastel painting "Natural Abstraction" has been selected as a finalist in The Moreton Bay Regional Art Awards this year and will be on display over the 21st - 29th May. At the Pine Rivers Gallery, Strathpine. So be sure to check it out if your in the area. The plant itself is a Red Hot Poker, or so I'm told. I was walking along at Australia Zoo and it just caught my eye. This bright red flower in amongst a sea of greens and browns. Mother Nature sure is amazing sometimes. This painting is actually available for sale at the moment and is beautifully framed in an off white stressed timber with double matt.

I have some exciting things in the pipeline as well, so I will be sure to keep everyone updated as soon as I have them finished and ready to go.

Until next month, happy painting!!

Kerri xx
