A Creative Escape in the French Countryside

A small, immersive art retreat where we slow down, reconnect with our creativity, and create meaningful wildlife and nature art—together.

Think château living, vineyards, long lunches… and time to truly focus on your art.

No commitment—just letting me know you’d love more details.

This is more than an art retreat...

This is about stepping away from the noise of everyday life… and finally giving yourself the time and space to create.

It’s about waking up somewhere beautiful, with nowhere else to be… except at your easel.

It’s about learning in a way that feels calm, supported, and inspiring— not rushed, not overwhelming.

And it’s about being surrounded by like-minded women who get it… who understand that this isn’t just a hobby— it’s something you’ve been wanting to come back to.

  What you’ll experience...

Over 7 days together, I’ll guide you step-by-step through creating realistic animal and nature artwork using soft pastels.

You’ll:
- Learn how to create depth, texture, and realism (without the confusion)

- Work on small studies to build confidence quickly

- Create finished pieces you’ll be proud to take home

- Gather your own reference photos during guided excursions

- Explore composition and storytelling in your work

- Experiment with backgrounds using watercolour and mixed techniques

- Work on a final, more personal piece (like a pet portrait or meaningful subject)

This isn’t about keeping up. It’s about building confidence, one layer at a time.

The Setting...

We’ll be staying in a beautiful château in the Loire Valley, surrounded by vineyards, gardens, and quiet countryside.

There will be:
Delicious meals prepared for you
Space to relax, walk, and take inspiration from your surroundings
Time to create without interruptions
Optional excursions to gather reference photos and sketch
It’s a balance of structure and space— so you can learn, create, and actually enjoy the process.

This might be for you if…

- You’ve been wanting to take your art more seriously
- You love animals and nature and want to learn how to capture them realistically
- You enjoy a step-by-step approach that builds confidence
- You’re craving time away to focus on you for a change
- You like the idea of learning in a small, supportive group

This probably isn’t for you if….

- You prefer fast-paced, high-pressure learning environments
- You’re looking for a large group or a more social/party-style trip
- You want a fully self-directed experience without guidance.

            A quick note...

This is a more premium, international retreat experience, and will involve travel for many of you.
Because of that, it won’t be the right fit for everyone—and that’s completely okay.
But if it’s something that feels exciting (even a little bit scary in a good way)…
I’d love you to join the interest list below.

Want first access when details are released?

If enough interest is there, I’ll move forward with securing this retreat—and you’ll be the first to hear all the details.
👉 Pricing, inclusions, and how to book

I’ve been invited to teach this retreat, and before I say yes, I wanted to see if this is something my community would actually love.  If you’ve ever dreamed of combining art and travel in a meaningful way…
this could be something really special.
