WELCOME TO AUSTRALIA ZOO & CROCODILE HUNTER LODGE - Immersed within lush bushland and home to an array of native wildlife, The Crocodile Hunter Lodge has been built from the aspirations of the original Wildlife Warrior, Steve Irwin. With an unwavering passion to protect wildlife and wild places, Steve envisioned a unique overnight experience for guests, where they could connect with nature and be reinvigorated by Australia’s beautiful fauna and flora.

Everything is included except your flights. We have made sure that you have entry into Australia Zoo on your
travel in and out days plus a FULL 2 days in workshop mode with Kerri.
You have the option of staying in a shared cabin with other 2 other art retreat guests.
In the Black Cockatoo 2 bedroom cabin (sleeps 3 across 2 bedrooms)
Or if you'd prefer your own cabin then you can choose to stay in the
Red Kangaroo 1 bedroom cabin (partners welcome)
Please note that cancellation fees apply to all art retreats as outlined below.

MEALS
All meals are included for retreat guests. Breakfast and Dinners will be provided at the Warrior Restaurant at the Crocodile Lodge. $35 lunch vouchers are provided for our 2 full art focused days at the Zoo, and can be spread out across the 4 days.
Please note that alcohol is not included but is available for purchase on site.
Your welcome to bring your own alcohol and snacks as all cabins have full kitchens.

CLIMATE & CLOTHES
The climate at this time of year can be very pleasant with a top of around 26 degrees and low of around 16. Make sure to bring clothes you can layer as it might be cool in the mornings but can get quite hot when walking around the zoo in the sun. Make sure to pack comfortable walking shoes.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is highly recommended and is to be organized by you.
ART SESSIONS
We have 2 full studio days in the conference room under the Crocoseum where we will concentrate on completing a pastel painting from your own reference photos taken at the zoo, under Kerri's guidance. We will also be discussing what makes a good reference image and what to look for when taking photos to turn into art pieces.
FLIGHTS
Flights are not included and are to be organized by you to either (BRISBANE or SUNSHINE COAST AIRPORT).
Please contact Kerri if you are flying in to organize pickup.
PAYMENT
A $200 deposit (for shared cabin) is to be made to secure your spot via the above link.
FULL PAYMENT is due by 30th June 2026 - we will send an invoice prior with payment details.
CANCELLATION
These are the Crocodile Hunter Lodge Cancellation Policies
Cancellations and Refund Policy
a. If a booking is cancelled before 30 days of your arrival date, a full refund of your booking fee will be provided.
b. If a booking is cancelled less than 30 days before your arrival date, the full amount of your booking will be forfeited.
c. If you fail to check-in, cancel or change this reservation after the check-in date, the full amount of your booking will be forfeited.
d. If a booking is cancelled by The Crocodile Hunter Lodge, The Crocodile Hunter Lodge shall refund the accommodation fee
but shall not be responsible for reimbursing any other costs outlaid by the Guest for the booking including
but not limited to: Flights, Car Hire, Transfers, Alternate Accommodation.
There is no refund if you arrive late or decide to leave early or if your trip is affected by another person's illness. Deposits secure your place and are non-refundable less than 30 days before arrival date. In the event that your space can be filled, then a full refund will be available.
