A **$500 deposit** is required to secure your place at the Australia Zoo Art Retreat.
This deposit will be deducted from your total retreat fee.  

I understand that sometimes plans change, and I will always do my best to make cancellations as fair as possible.
However, accommodation and other retreat arrangements are booked and paid for well in advance,
and many of these costs become non-refundable to me once your booking has been confirmed.  *

**Cancellations within 30 days of booking**  
If you cancel within 30 days of making your booking, and your cancellation is **more than 90 days before the retreat begins**, your $500 deposit and any other payments made will be fully refunded.  Please note that this 30-day cancellation period does **not** apply to bookings made within 90 days of the retreat.  

**Cancellations after 30 days or within 90 days of the retreat**  
After the initial 30-day cancellation period, or for any booking made within 90 days of the retreat, payments are non-refundable unless I am able to successfully fill your place with another participant.  If I am able to fill your place, **all payments you have made, including your $500 deposit, will be fully refunded.**  

You are also welcome to nominate someone to take your place, subject to approval and any necessary booking changes.  Because accommodation is based on shared cabins and retreat costs are committed well in advance, a cancellation can leave costs that I am unable to recover. While I will make every reasonable effort to fill a cancelled place, I cannot guarantee that a replacement participant will be found.  For this reason, I strongly recommend taking out travel insurance that includes cancellation cover for illness, injury and other unexpected circumstances.
